Acts 9:4-6

“And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”

Lesson:

Saul persecuted the followers of Jesus. He would send people to prison if they believed in Jesus Christ. 

One day, as Saul was traveling to Damascus to find more of Jesus’s disciples to cast into prison, a bright light appeared to him, and he heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” It was the voice of Jesus Christ. Saul asked “What wilt thou have me to do?” 

From that day on, Saul stopped persecuting the church, and instead taught people about Jesus Christ and bore his testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
