Some members of the church in Paul’s day were very poor and needed help. Paul asked members of other congregations to show love and help these needy members by giving what they could. He taught that God would bless them for their generosity.
Jesus was our example of love, and He taught us to love our neighbors. We also learn in the Book of Mormon that when we are serving others, we are serving God (Mosiah 2:17).
There are still people today who need our help, due to natural disasters, war, or poverty. Some people just need a little extra kindness or caring. We can help those who are poor or who need assistance by giving generously and with love.

Playing the “SERVE” game is a fun way for your family to learn about many different ways to serve and bless the lives of others.
Even very small children can save their pennies to donate and help others through fast offerings, humanitarian fund donations, or other charities. Let children help make their "Cheddar Pennies" by rolling the dough into the ropes. Then slice & bake into yummy cheesy crackers!
