Lesson:

The revelation in section 133 was given just two days after the revelation found in Doctrine & Covenants section 1. This revelation reminds the Saints to prepare themselves for the coming of Jesus Christ and tells us ways that we can be prepared. Some of the ways mentioned that we can be prepared are to avoid wickedness, be clean, pray, attend church together, share the gospel, repent, and obey the word of the Lord.

Section 134 explains the views of the Church about government. Laws and government should protect the property and lives of its citizens, and citizens should obey the laws. Government should also protect the free exercise of religious belief.
