Moroni 6:4
“And after they had been received unto baptism, and were wrought upon and cleansed by the power of the Holy Ghost, they were numbered among the people of the church of Christ; and their names were taken, that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God, to keep them in the right way, to keep them continually watchful unto prayer, relying alone upon the merits of Christ, who was the author and the finisher of their faith.”

The Lamanites continued to destroy the Nephites and all those who would not deny the Christ. Moroni boldly stated, “I, Moroni, will not deny the Christ.”
As Moroni finished his record, he hoped to write a few more things that may be of worth in a future day. He recorded the way Christ organized the church. He taught that the disciples were ordained elders, and the elders ordained priests and teachers. He taught that the elders and priests should administer the sacrament, and he gave us the prayers to perform the sacrament ordinance. Moroni also wrote about the ordinances of baptism and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. He explained the importance of meeting often as a church to be nourished by the good word of God. The restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organized in this same way as the church in ancient America because it is Jesus Christ’s church.
“Holy ordinances are central in the Savior’s gospel and in the process of coming unto Him and seeking spiritual rebirth. Ordinances are sacred acts that have spiritual purpose, eternal significance, and are related to God’s laws and statutes. All saving ordinances and the ordinance of the sacrament must be authorized by one who holds the requisite priesthood keys.” David A. Bednar
The keys of the priesthood are spiritual keys that we can not see — given to worthy priesthood holders by the laying on of hands. Play the Priesthood Keys Game to learn about how the priesthood and a few of the priesthood keys work together.
These cute cookies will remind you that we take upon ourselves the name of Christ at baptism. We renew our covenants each week through the sacrament and as we remember Jesus Christ, we'll have His spirit with us in our hearts.
